Summer Academy
WBA's summer program typically occurs for four weeks beginning the Monday after the July 4th holiday. For the summer of 2024, the program will be from Monday, July 8th through Thursday, August 1st.
The summer program runs Monday – Thursday from 9 AM – 3 PM. For 2024, our summer program will once again consist of two parts. One program, Summer Academy, is focused on academics, and is approved by both the NH and MA Departments of Education. This program will run from 9 AM – 1 PM.
The afternoon program, Afternoon Adventures, is a companion program to the state approved morning program, and offers students recreational opportunities focused on being active outdoors and through the arts . This program will run from 1 PM – 3 PM (also Monday-Thursday). The Adventures program is funded by families and the cost for this summer is $250 per week.
While registration is open for Summer Academy until July 1, there are a limited number of spaces available, so if you are interested, please reach out ASAP.
Enrollment in all programs is open to students, ages 8 to 21, who are bright and curious. They may be currently enrolled at WBA or come from the greater community. (LSA students are given preference when availability is limited.) In small classes, students seek enriching, exciting alternative educational experiences which include supports and specialized instruction in the areas of reading, writing, and math. We encourage students to become “informed consumers” regarding their education, to use strategies and self-advocate for their needs. Experienced teachers and special educators teach or support every class.
